What to Expect
Your no-obligation consultation
Your first appointment at Greenberg LASIK will be a free and comprehensive consultation to ensure you are eligible for laser vision correction. Your pre-operative consultation is the first visit in your vision correction process. During your consultation, a specialist will conduct a series of painless tests which enables us to determine your candidacy.
Contact Lens Protocol
The following contact lens policy only applies if you would like to have surgery the week of your pre‑operative consult. Please remove your contact lenses before your procedure as follows:
Soft: 1‑2 days in advance
Extended Wear/Toric: 3 days in advance
Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP): 3 weeks in advance
Watch Dr. Jason Greenberg explain what to expect during LASIK eye surgery at his practices in Louisville, KY and Indianapolis, IN.

At this time, we will determine the best procedure for you, further explain the recommended vision correction procedure, and provide you with precise, surgery-specific pricing outlining the cost of laser eye surgery.
During your consultation at Greenberg LASIK, if you are determined to be a good candidate for LASIK, you’ll be given pre-operative instructions before your scheduled LASIK surgery.
What can I expect
during my LASIK surgery?
On the day of surgery, your LASIK specialist will explain the different steps you are about to go through, and provide you with all of the necessary post-operative instructions, such as how to use eye drops, and more.
Prior to your LASIK procedure, your eyes will be numbed using anesthetic eye drops and you may be offered a mild sedative to help you relax. The procedure generally requires 10 minutes of operating room time, during which the laser is used for less than a minute on each eye.
